Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
- 6 years of experience in marketing working across business to business marketing products.
- Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or MS in computer science or engineering.
- Experience with developer platforms and ecosystems.
- Ability to drive product launches and campaigns.
- Ability to manage technical concepts related to AI and geo-spatial.
- Ability to discuss technical details and translate them into compelling marketing messages.
About the job
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As a Product Marketing Manager you’ll partner with product, UX, and Developer Relations teams to shape the product strategy, idea, and positioning for Google Maps Platform. You will be responsible for partnering on audience and market research, creating narratives and positioning, crafting and launching adoption and engagement strategies.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Learn the developer and technical decision makers and translate learnings and insights into messaging.
- Own messaging, craft and build out product narrative over time, promote through launches, and sustain with landings.
- Partner with product, marketing, partnerships, and engineering to develop industry leading moments to share point of view.
- Identify, develop, or manage the creation of a variety of content types (e.g., written, videos, presentations, etc.) as needed to fuel sales and product led growth.
