Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C# and Python, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience designing, prototyping, testing, or maintaining, augmented or virtual reality products.
  • Experience in prior use of game engines such as Unity.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience in one or more of (roughly ordered by importance): Sensor Fusion, Android Apps, Mobile Development, Embedded Development, Applied Machine Learning, UI Framework or Application Programming Interface (API) Design, Human Computer Interaction, or Graphical User Interfaces
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience in augmented reality, Human-computer interaction (HCI) research, contextual or ambient computing, and breaking new ground in computing paradigms.
  • Knowledge in applied human centered design practice, prototyping, and experimentation for product learning.

You will work at the edge of the paradigm shift: from content inside the screen, to the user inside the content. We create novel multimodal and Machine Learning (ML) enabled experiences to improve immersive devices. Our prototypes and features help make future experiences come to life on next-generation AR hardware.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other researchers and engineers in the team to define, prototype, and transfer features for our products.
  • Research and analyze options for implementing promising interactions with ML and HW partners and build prototypes to prove technical feasibility.
  • Scope problems, recommend solutions for full real-time systems that include Hardware, Software Graphics interactions. Consider both, short- and long-term needs, and implement the solution.
  • Test new interaction models and primitives with real users.
