Job Description

As an Infotainment Feature Test Lead at GM, you will be responsible for the end-to-end QA for a variety of Infotainment features. You will ensure the quality of your assigned features by tracking development plans, designing test cases, collaborating with automation engineers, and requesting calibration updates. This exciting infotainment test position is a central hub for the testing and integration of all GM's infotainment software. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with different business units all around GM and is terrific for technical and leadership growth!

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite at the GM Global Technical Center - Estes Engineering Center or the GM Global Technical Center - Estes Engineering Center at least three times per week minimum or other frequency dictated by the business. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end quality assurance for a variety of assigned Infotainment features up to and including performance testing.
  • Track feature development in Jira and align timing of required quality assurance activities on a VESCOM basis.
  • Develop test plans by leveraging DevQA test cases and creating new test cases.
  • Manage calibration CRs to ensure that effective testing can be executed.
  • Collaborate with test automation engineers to develop test methods that enable test script development.
  • Collaborate with test script development engineers to automate test plans.
  • Monitor weekly test execution and support issue triage with test execution and software development engineers.
  • Support new feature integration testing.
  • Provide regular status updates and PVCL signoff for assigned features.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Automotive SW Test or Development, including extensive experience with test automation
  • Understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Subsystem/Features in the Infotainment domain
  • Understanding of Infotainment Operating Systems such as Android, Linux and QNX
  • Experience with LAN/CAN vehicle communication system and CAN based monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Robot Framework
  • Strong Project Management and Organizational skills
  • Ability to lead complex problems and propose solutions
  • High level of oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others.

  • Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is: $93,400 - $149,200 Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
