• Lead and contribute to mechanical design projects. Familiar with 3D design software to create detailed models and drawings.• Lead technical design reviews for concept solutions, detailed designs, and evaluation of results with cross-functional and/or global teams.
• Lead development activities at supplier end e.g., tooling and ensure successful outcomes.
• Perform design integration, verification, validation, FMEA, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability analysis/ testing.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure on-time delivery.
• Understand key business drivers and adhere to GEHC standards, industry standards, Medical device safety, and regulatory requirements

Job Description
Responsibility
- Developing engineering design concepts for components and assemblies that have tough requirements for size, precision, reliability, and cost.
- Exploring multiple design options for the mechanical component and assembly detail design with 3D CAD models.
- Testing and verifying hardware to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data.
- Selecting hardware and material, assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements. Working with technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize hardware designs
- Engaging in hardware lifecycle management, including solutions to obsolescence, verification of design solutions, improvement of manufacturing process, and cost out opportunities
- Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
- Working cross-functionally with engineering teams to understand system interactions and dependencies, account for these integration points within development plan
- Providing technical support to team throughout product development and implementation process
- Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, DFR tools
Basic Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and more than 3 years relevant work experience
- Experience in the localization and cost reduction is preferred.
- Experience in the following technologies is preferred: MR system magnet, gradient coil, RF coil.
- Ability to design, execute, analysis experiments.
- Familiarity with mechanical 3D CAD tool ProE and Windchill
- Effective oral and written English communication skills which need global cooperation.
- Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs is preferred.
