As the Senior EHS Program Manager, reporting to the Sr Director of Environment, Health & Safety, you will play a crucial role in leading a portfolio of sophisticated programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as the subject matter expert for your designated programs. Your collaborative efforts will extend beyond EHS as you seamlessly integrate your programs into business operations.
You will have the opportunity to support client groups beyond your reporting structure, working closely with multiple EHS leaders to meet the needs of the clients related to your programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the effectiveness of EHS programs across the SSF site and an affiliated smaller site while collaborating with Program Managers, EHS Business Partners, and EHS Specialists to develop and implement strategies tailored to different business functions and sites.
- Lead a portfolio of sophisticated safety programs, including Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP), Hazardous & Medical Waste, and Waste Tanks, ensuring daily oversight and successful implementation aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned EHS programs, offering guidance and support to client groups and customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations and corporate requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits and inspections, including regulatory reporting, notification, and closure of corrective actions, and represent EHS as a primary contact for key customers on initiatives and projects related to EHS programs.
- Delegate routine programmatic tasks to EHS Specialists and provide coaching and mentoring to support the ongoing success of EHS program implementation across all business units.
- Participate in business process improvement initiatives and serve as a Safety Officer and EHS Advisor during disaster/emergency response and recovery efforts.

- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of leading multiple programs and developing solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, expertise in multiple EHS subject areas, and effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
- This position is located in South San Francisco and is not eligible for relocation or full-time remote working.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $115,00.00 - $213,600.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
