The Ford Model E Advanced EV Design Concept Engineering group is a technology-driven team that specializes in developing new concepts into innovative products to meet the needs of our diverse customer base. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our future product line and ecosystem by overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to end-of-life and working directly with the technical engineering team and studio. Your expertise in product development, management, and cross-functional collaboration will be critical in ensuring the seamless execution and market success of our cutting-edge products.

- Product Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's overall vision and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements, features, and functionality.
- Determine technology readiness and determine development roadmaps.
- Product Development and Management:
- Lead the end-to-end product development process, ensuring product design, specifications, and development meet the highest standards.
- Oversee and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing, to drive seamless product development and delivery.
- Partner directly with engineering teams, and use engineering first principles to inform risks, timelines and product plans.
- Project Management:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for product development initiatives.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate with various teams to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
- Address any roadblocks or challenges that may arise during product development and propose effective solutions.
- Market Launch and Distribution:
- Collaborate with marketing and go-to-market teams to develop launch strategies for new products.
- Identify and establish critical relationships with contract manufacturing partners to realize new products for mass production.
- Coordinate with internal distribution, sales platforms and online storefront resources to ensure products are efficiently delivered to customers.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
- Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from inception through production, release, and eventual end-of-life planning.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements, upgrades, and modifications to enhance customer satisfaction and meet market demands.
- Manage product-related risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager or in a similar role in the technology or automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy effectively.
- Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive decision-making.
- A track record of successfully launching and managing products in a dynamic and competitive market.
- Leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.
