Analyzes system data and develops technical solutions using Confluence and SharePoint. Develops technical solutions through implementation of system simplification and performance measurement procedures using Kanban and Scrumban. Develops technical guidance on computer systems, and processes. Identifies developmental computer needs and mentors team-members to improve technical knowledge or skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Uses business knowledge to perform project management for technology projects.
Works with end-users to coordinate product development and support.
Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
Establishes full project life cycle plans for one or more complex projects.
Uses industry and competitor benchmarks to evaluate the overall effectiveness of organizational and technology data infrastructure, guiding principles, and operating models.
Conducts business case analyses and readiness assessments for technologies.
Directs daily operations of department, analyzes workflow, establishes priorities, develops standards, and sets deadlines.
Assigns and reviews the work of systems analysts, programmers, and other computer-related workers.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Management (or closely related occupation) prioritizing multiple concurrent Information Technology (IT) projects in an Agile environment using JIRA or Rally.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Manager, Product Management (or closely related occupation) prioritizing multiple concurrent Information Technology (IT) projects in an Agile environment using JIRA or Rally.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing Agile methodology coaching, training, and mentoring in a Defined Contribution (DC) and data consulting environment using Kanban, Scrumban, Scaled Agile framework, and project management tools -- Jira, Mural, and NetSuite OpenAir; and planning application rollouts, tracking rollout progress, and developing and supporting investing products and platforms using Scrumban model and according to Agile transformation strategies and design.
DE performing resource capacity forecasting for a Scrum Team -- coordinating dependencies and end-to-end deliverables; building technical program plans using JIRA and advanced Microsoft Excel formulas -- Pivot chart and vlookup; managing and maintaining resource bookings -- vacation schedules, resource availability, and project delays; and prioritizing more than 30 concurrent implementation and change control projects for Fortune 500 size client DC programs using Microsoft Excel, JIRA, or Tableau reports, and MVP metrics.
DE designing Tableau reports using Agile metrics and KPIs across data sources in JIRA and NetSuite OpenAir (resource availability data sources); writing technical requirements to automate reports -- resource utilization and upcoming project and team vacation calendar reports; performing code reviews of Python code; and executing and maintaining program management reports using Anaconda 3.9.
DE performing daily stand-ups in Scrum -- Scrum of Scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demo/retrospective meetings using JIRA; building technical product guides, using Confluence and MURAL; analyzing end-to-end deliverables to resolve software performance issues and escalating to senior management; and managing software builds according to Red/Yellow/Green (RYG) quality standards.
