Job Description:

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic individual to create communications strategies, develop content, and execute communication plans for Fidelity’s CFO Group. If you are passionate about managing high-impact communications programs, come join us!

As the Manager of Finance Communications, you will develop and implement strategic communications programs that support the CFO Group’s business objectives and align with Fidelity enterprise priorities. These communications will reach key stakeholders including associates, business partners and, in some cases, external audiences.

With your experience in strategic content creation and delivery, you will be a trusted consultant to senior business leaders in the CFO Group (including those in the finance, tax, treasury, procurement, and risk functions) with emphasis on supporting Fidelity’s Chief Financial Officer. You will share best practices in executive communications, associate engagement, and change management, as well as work with leaders (and their teams) to develop content that aligns to business priorities.

You will also maintain a focus on measurement and impact to determine communications effectiveness. In addition, this role will help amplify CFO Group’s mission, strategy, and profile across the Fidelity enterprise.

This role partners closely with colleagues across Corporate Affairs including Fidelity Communication Services, Corporate Services Alignment, Leader Communications, and Corporate Affairs Operations, among others.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the CFO’s communications (and other CFO Group leaders as needed), including internal leadership meetings, presentations, and associate communications.

  • Draft video scripts, talking points, presentations, Fidelity Central articles, and other communications to communicate Fidelity’s financial and business performance and the priorities of the CFO Group.

  • Develop and write presentations and articles for associates, internal business partners, and other internal teams to ensure ongoing engagement and understanding of Fidelity’s key enterprise strategies, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Additional responsibilities include managing and updating the CFO Group SharePoint site, which contains key information, resources, and documents for associates.

The Team

You will report into the Director of Strategy & Finance Communications as a part of the Strategy & Planning team within Fidelity’s Corporate Affairs organization. The Strategy & Planning Communications team is responsible for setting the enterprise-wide communications objectives and administering the execution of our annual Fidelity Forward planning communications.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a communications professional.

  • Very strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.

  • Proven experience in developing and executing communications strategies across executive, internal, and external communications.

  • Business-minded: ability to understand and articulate the function’s multi-year plan, financial drivers, and align and prioritize high-impact communications for internal and external audiences.

  • Ability to take complex concepts and distill them into compelling content for internal audiences, using new, creative and engaging ways across various media/channels.

  • Ability to coach and consult with senior leaders and are comfortable giving frank,

  • constructive feedback

  • Skilled at managing multiple and simultaneous projects, including working with partners to organize internal meetings, ensuring that all efforts meet Fidelity’s high standards.

  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools.

  • Understand the important role measurement and metrics play to demonstrating impact, value and guiding decision making.

  • Comfortable working with various internal communications platforms.

  • Creative thinker, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Can thrive in a fast-paced and nimble environment.

Fidelity’s working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).

The base salary range for this position is $63,000-$100,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
