Generative AI Business Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office a week

Pay Range: $53-$63/hr depending on benefits and experience

Job Description:

• We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic business analyst to assist our Generative AI Product Manager.
• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in collecting requirements, understanding business value, and identifying key capabilities to prioritize work from our business partners.

Typical Task Breakdown:

• Engage with business partners to gather detailed requirements for the Generative AI projects.
• Evaluate the potential business value of different initiatives to help prioritize projects.
• Determine the key Capabilities of projects that align with our GenAi strategy and goals.
• Act as a liaison between the product management team and business partners to ensure clear and effective communication.
• Regularly prepare and present reports on project status, plans, and challenges.
• Assist the Generative AI Product Manager in strategic planning and setting product roadmap.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
• Keep track of project progress and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Generative AI and how they can be leveraged for our business.
• Help promote a better understanding of AI capabilities and limitations within the organization to foster realistic expectations.

Interaction with team:

• Resource will be working very closely with the business, but in the WD team, as of right now, there is 1 team member.
• Spans across multiple functional areas within business unit and across other business units within the company.

Education & Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in information mgmt is a minimum requirement
• 5-8 years experience, 10+ years desired

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Azure DevOps
• Experience in a product management or business analyst role is a plus.
• Strong understanding of AI, specifically Generative AI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
• Experience Generative AI development (desired)
• Experience around software engineering, analytics, artificial Intelligence (desired)
• Extensive experience as a Product Manager with ability to manage multiple projects (desired)

Soft Skills

• Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
• Ability to assess the risks involved in different strategies and choose the best course of action.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on their impact and alignment with strategic goals.
