Lead Software Development Engineer in Test Description
We are actively seeking an experienced Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to strengthen our Quality Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the creation, management, and implementation of comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring synchronization with the timelines of product management and development. This position demands proficiency in both manual and automated testing within an integrated test strategy, and involves close collaboration with Software Development, DevOps, and Project & Product Management teams.

Responsibilities
- Update and refine detailed test plans, test cases, and timelines
- Maintain synchronization with the schedules of Product Management and Development teams
- Generate and implement both manual and automated test scripts
- Formulate test strategies encompassing product requirements, new features, improvements, and issue resolutions
- Apply best QA practices throughout the project lifecycle
- Engage with DevOps and Product Development teams
- Analyze test suites, assertions, and tests within code repositories
- Uphold a high standard of quality for web applications used internally and publicly
- Oversee performance, load, and API testing
- Employ tools like Playwright, Postman, Jira, and K6 for diverse testing requirements
- Establish local environments crucial for development and testing
- Participate in an Agile/Scrum environment with varied team members
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- 1+ years in a leadership role
- Background in code management using Git
- Proficiency in establishing testing frameworks with Playwright or similar tools
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, emphasizing Azure Test Plans and Pipelines
- Skills in Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL
- Expertise in API testing and debugging via Postman
- Experience in managing performance tests with K6
- Understanding of issue tracking using tools like Jira
- Competency in code coverage and continuous integration tools
- In-depth insight into the interaction between front-end user interfaces and back-end database systems
- Capability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Nice to have
- An understanding of performance and load testing for web applications using tools like JMeter
