We're looking for a forward-thinking Senior Software Engineer specializing in Flutter development to join our remote team.

In this pivotal role, you'll establish architectural groundwork and drive the development of our product, while championing the Pivotal Labs framework. This promotes a culture of collaboration, swift iteration, and user-centric design. Our product is an innovative software solution poised to revolutionize the residential home inspection process.

The app is a universal Flutter application meant to be deployed on web, mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms. It will utilize a microservice architecture hosted on the Google Cloud Platform, using REST and event-based messaging for interservice communication. Backend services will be Java-based and constructed using the SpringBoot framework. Redis will serve as the caching system, with ElasticSearch and Postgres in place for data storage and querying.

Responsibilities

• Adoption and application of the Pivotal Labs framework within the development process, including test-driven development, pair programming, and continuous integration/deployment for swift, reliable, and efficient software delivery
• Leadership in crafting a universal Flutter application with a focus on scalability, performance, and security across all platforms
• Development and management of a microservices architecture on Google Cloud Platform, optimizing interservice communication via REST and event-based messaging
• Creation of backend services using the SpringBoot framework and Java, ensuring clean, test-driven, and maintainable code
• Use of Redis for caching, supplemented by ElasticSearch and Postgres for robust data storage and querying
• Implementation of Jenkins for CI/CD, aligning with Pivotal's continuous development and deployment practices
• Leadership of the engineering team with a focus on Agile methodologies, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and improvement-centric environment
• Close collaboration with product management and stakeholders to define technical specifications, prioritize features, and guide the product's strategic direction in line with user needs and business goals

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in software engineering, with a portfolio that highlights successful application launches
• Expertise in Flutter and a comprehensive understanding of universal application development
• Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, Google Cloud Platform, REST, and event-based messaging
• Proficiency in SpringBoot, Java, Redis, ElasticSearch, and PostgreSQL
• Solid experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated experience in implementing Agile frameworks, preferably Pivotal Labs
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
