We're seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, application deployment, and providing seamless local development setups for our team of developers working on our Next.js frontend application.

As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our software products. Your responsibilities will include architecting, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines tailored for our Next.js application
• Automating application deployment processes and ensuring smooth deployments across different AWS cloud environments and targets
• Collaborating with development teams to set up and maintain efficient local development environments
• Optimizing infrastructure and tooling to support scalability, reliability, and performance
• Providing mentorship and support to team members on best practices for CI/CD, deployment, and local development setups

Requirements

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript (Node.js) for automation tasks
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity CI/CD)
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., AWS ECS, Hashicorp Nomad, Kubernetes)
• Expertise in infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience working with version control systems, notably Git
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement

Nice to have

• Previous experience working with Next.js or similar frontend frameworks
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms
• Understanding of networking and security principles in a cloud environment
