eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 2, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Collaborate with engineering teams, designers, product managers, and architects to create new software features on one of the world’s most visited e-commerce sites. Apply technical skills to develop software solutions that meet feature requirements and align with implementation schedules, development goals, and programming principles. Create testing harnesses and automation geared towards high-quality products. Launch critical projects and lead all phases of the software development lifecycle: requirement/design reviews, development, testing, and code reviews. Develop innovative software solutions that meet market needs and align with implementation schedules, development goals, and principles. Create testing harness/infrastructure/test cases/automation geared towards high-quality products. Estimate engineering effort, mitigate project risks, plan implementation, and roll out system changes. Apply Java, Oracle DB, NoSQL and other technologies eBay is using such as Node.js, Spring framework, Mockito, etc. Write clean, simple, and tested software code to support new product features. Provide scope on proposed software features and bug fixes. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $172,931.00-234,850 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
