eBay, Inc. seeks Senior Product Manager 1 - Technical in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Define, plan, design, launch, and measure product and platform strategy. Research key growth opportunities, create a stellar customer experience, and support all aspects of the business. Understand and synthesize customer and business needs from market research, customer visits, and business data. Formulate product/platform strategy for the product line and manage the daily execution of a prioritized road map that addresses customer needs. Define product requirements and manage the overall schedule of a project to deliver features on time with high quality. Work with partners in business, engineering, and analytics to define, build, and launch products/platform features. Manage communications and expectations with internal stakeholders and the eBay community of buyers and sellers. Define and formulate ramp and measurement criteria. Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements. Successfully launch products/platforms (large-scale websites or commerce-related platforms) by utilizing work experience in product management and/or product/services strategy with a proven record in Payments technology / Fintech. Provide clear product vision to scrum teams and co-lead the Agile scrum team with engineering counterparts to complete the roadmap with clear achievements. Clearly set the product/backlog prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms. Be the product evangelist and partner closely with business customers, data science partners and engineering leaders. Optimally communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development team. Partner with cross functional teams and vendors, to identify gaps and opportunities in eBay’s current payment processing. Build a case for your hypotheses, A/B test it, and implement the winners. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline plus six years of experience in the job offered or in the field of software engineering or program analysis. Employer will also accept a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information technology, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline plus eight years of experience in the job offered or eight years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Knowledge of Fintech ecosystem and payments processing not limited to Payments,Cards infrastructure, Payments Infrastructure, Point of Sale (POS), Chargebacks and Returns

2. Knowledge of Payouts via Real Time Payments (RTP) / Debit Card Payouts (DCP), Wallet experience and optimization, focus on digital wallet strategy and wallet enhancements

3. Product Opportunity Assessment Market, Competitor and customer analysis to establish product market fit

4. Product Strategy and roadmap creation

5. Gathering, structuring and prioritizing product requirement

6. Agile project management

7. Wireframing, User Experience and UI Design improvements

8. Rapid Prototyping and A/B testing

9. Building a price and feature differentiated product offering

10. Building effective pricing models to promote sales to enterprise customers

11. Customer product onboarding experience

12. Development using Python, Figma, Tableau, and other internet technologies. Data orientation and analysis capabilities (Dashboarding, SQL).

13. Representing product in trade shows, analysts and tech blogs.

14. Improving product performance through hardware and software optimization.

Base salary: $179,171.00-262,900.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
