Overview
The Data Management function is responsible for designing and driving the execution of the data strategy at Group and Divisional/functional level as well as coordinating adherence to Data related processes and policies and any applicable local regulations. As a member of the US Chief Data Office (CDO) within the Technology, Data, and Innovation division, you will partner with our customer facing, front-line (Corporate Bank (CB), Investment Bank (IB), Private Bank (PB)) data subject matter experts to understand their published data and product suite. With this knowledge, you will work with our Infrastructure teams (within Risk, Finance, Treasury, Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), and Compliance) to understand required data sets (including specific data attributes required) from each producer (customer facing) team. The US CDO team is accountable for ensuring collection of metadata on data flows (lineage), critical data elements and controls for our in-scope processes and regulatory reports. Data is a critical enabler to successful reporting, with the US CDO playing a key role in the Bank’s data strategy.

What You’ll Do
Support the execution of the data strategy whilst identifying opportunities for risk reduction and compliance with Data &/or Records related regulatory requirements
With the Consolidated US Operations (CUSO) Data leadership team, take responsibility for the identification, assessment, improvement and governance of quality and fit for purpose of the Bank’s data assets
Lead the 1st line businesses (CB, IB, PB) and 2nd line functions (Risk, Finance, Treasury, AFC, Compliance) in identifying data quality issues and facilitate resolution
Work with key stakeholders to identify region-specific data capability business requirements and translating requirements into specific functional specifications for solution development
Drive requirements through to implementation of technical and (where required) operational process implementation
Align with other key stakeholder groups (including 1st line of defense and 2nd line of defense subject matter experts, divisional data offices, group architecture & technology engineering groups) to support the link between the Business divisions and the solution providers for all aspects of identifying, implementing and maintaining solutions
How You’ll Lead
Support management of Data Quality (DQ) Issue inventory for the US Region and development and implementation of DQ Issue prioritization criteria tied to business outcomes (i.e. Data Exceptions, Adjustments, etc.)
Partners with global DDO organizations (up to Managing Director level) to drive analysis and drive resolution of data quality issues, while Direct engagement (including preparation of supporting materials) with local CDO colleagues (up to Director level) and stakeholders (up to Managing Director level) on data quality issues impacting the US region
Work with global and regional stakeholders to clearly identify dependency on resolution of US-related issues by other programs; establishes engagement model with relevant programs on specific implementation dependencies
Skills You’ll Need
Subject matter knowledge in at least one of the following 2nd line functions: Risk, Finance, Treasury, Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance
Demonstrated experience delivering solutions to data requirements in financial services and Stakeholder Management
Awareness of Data Management principles and Core Data Management Standards
Metadata management (significant part of role includes analyzing large volume of metadata through excel or equivalent)
Microsoft office intermediate to advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $100,000 to $145,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
