Merchant Solutions is a new division within the Corporate Bank. We combine the best of traditional bank treasury solutions with global payment service provider capabilities. Deutsche Bank offers a full spectrum of integrated payment solutions around payment acceptance and payment issuing, marketplace, FX and financing. Our products range from card acceptance and alternative payment methods, to the card issuance and wallets, as well as integrated FX and lending workflow solutions for eCommerce and POS.

The Client Solution team within Merchant Solutions is responsible for driving our go-to-market, for integrating new and maintain existing partners, and in providing customised workflow solutions to our clients.

Your key responsibilities:

As a member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Represent Merchant Solutions product in key client meetings and be our face in marketing events, as a subject matter expert

  • Nudge deals to closure by bringing all stakeholders to consensus

  • Continuously engage with our sales teams, thus fostering relevant client dialogue

  • Create marketing and sales collateral together with the other members of the team

  • Support in creating standard rate cards for merchant solutions products

  • Prepare statement-of-work and quotes for single or multi-country deals based on scope of work, standard rate cards and approved discounts. Support deal reviews together with sales and product teams

  • Track and report on sales metrics at client level every month; identify non-performing accounts and actions for improvement

  • Ensure, in all aspects of the sales and delivery cycle, that there is compliance with regulators, bank policies, and support resolution of issues that require coordination of multiple disciplines in the organization (e.g. KYC process).

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Computer Science or a similar course from a reputed institution required; Masters in Business Administration is optional, but highly preferred

  • Work experience of minimum 3 years in any of the following:

    • Corporate banking sales or relationship management, at an international or large Indonesian financial institutions

    • Management consulting for global firms or large Indonesian firms, with digital strategy focus

    • Technology sales for banking systems, ERP systems or other digital commerce systems

  • Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are essential

  • Ability to plan and run a client meeting with meaningful presentations, asking relevant questions and outlining solution options are essential

  • Strong quantitative skills are necessary, and the ability to create spreadsheet models for deal profitability and business financial projections would be a plus

  • Ability to handle the day to day ‘hands-on’ management of tasks, resolve problems and issues, and implement action plans to meet objectives

  • Commitment to strong teamwork and a collaborative environment

  • Motivated self-starter and a quick learner, ready to take on responsibilities and confident to manage projects; able to manage tasks independently, expand knowledge into different areas and combine analytical work with the ability to drive projects
