Overview

Cash Management Technology provides the technology for payments, one of the most fundamental and critical capabilities of the Corporate Bank’s Cash Management business. Our platforms sit at the heart of Deutsche Bank and our business partners and clients rightly have the highest expectations for transformative delivery and innovative solutions, with a continuous focus on scalability, resilience and regulatory compliance. We support the full range of payment types, clearing systems and client types across the globe, from bulk (low-value) payments made by corporate clients, to 24x7 instant payments made by retail clients, to professional high-value payments made by financial institutions.

What You’ll Do

  • As part of our global team, you will work on global platform for payment processing as a Software Engineer

  • Your role includes design and development, perform code reviews, co-working with QA team on test automation, rollout of new features

  • You are expected to contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with experience and contribute to building an engineering culture within the team

  • We expect the successful candidate to deliver high quality software and to be passionate about software engineering

  • You must have a proficient understanding of software development concepts

  • A good understanding of Cloud concepts is a plus. You will also be responsible to develop easy to support software and liaise with our SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team to factor in their requirements

How You’ll Lead

  • Lead Mentoring developers and providing insight

  • Working with product owners to build fit for purpose solutions

  • Communicating across development and infrastructure teams for end-to-end delivery

Skills You’ll Need

  • In depth knowledge of core Java, Spring and Spring Boot; Strong Knowledge of SOAP and REST Web Services

  • Hands-on knowledge of Kafka/ IBM Deutschland GmbH, Frankfurt am Main (IBM) Message Queue (MQ) messaging; Knowledge in a scripting language such as Linux

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular JS/Angular, HTML, CSS, Relational database (like Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, DB2), Structured Query Language (SQL) and Operational Risk Management (ORM) Technologies

  • Experience with modern CI/CD tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, helm. Experience using test driven development (TDD) and behavior driven development (BDD) practices

  • Hands on experience in cloud technologies (like Azure, AWS, Global Control Programme (GCP))

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
