Work you’ll do

Deloitte is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented an IT Project Manager with experience in federal government projects and/or consulting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). While not required, exposure to cybersecurity, information systems, and software quality assurance is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, executing, and closing IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA testers, and cybersecurity experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to manage project tasks, sprints, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk management plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
  • Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes

The Application Modernization and Innovation offering is comprised of experienced professionals who help guide clients through their most complex technology challenges. This can include the delivery of large-scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) & other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Application Modernization and Innovation offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business. We provide operational value, modernized mission solutions, and enhanced technology innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager preferably within federal government and/or consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • Ability to travel 20-30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, information systems, and software quality assurance.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,600 to $141,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
