Introduction: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead our Ports Strategy and Sustainability initiatives. This role is pivotal as we aim to enhance operational efficiencies, incorporate sustainable practices, and drive strategic growth within our port operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that align with global sustainability trends and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans focused on enhancing sustainability and environmental stewardship within port operations.
- Manage and coordinate projects that involve the construction and renovation of port facilities, ensuring they meet sustainability goals.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for project activities and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including government bodies, environmental agencies, and community groups to promote sustainable practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives on time and within budget, while adhering to sustainability criteria.
- Monitor the latest trends and advancements in port sustainability and integrate innovative solutions into project plans.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, sustainability impact assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Manage the budgeting and resource allocation for sustainability projects ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

The Finance & Enterprise Performance (F&EP) teams advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service solutions to help clients develop strategies and capabilities that support enterprise-wide decision-making, develop operating models to optimize organizational performance, improve finance operations, and create impact within their organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in port operations, infrastructure projects, or sustainability initiatives.
- Strong understanding of sustainable development practices in maritime or port environments.
- Excellent project management skills, including experience with project planning tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $132,000 - $219,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
