Led by Visa’s Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. The Global AI & Data Innovation team is creating the next generation of scalable and responsible AI, ML and Data Innovations and products to solve client and consumer problems. We are a cross-functional team of data scientists, product managers, AI and data engineers, program managers focused on generating value for the payment’s ecosystem
Essential Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and tests to validate content tagging and metadata models, with a focus on enhancing document discovery & relevancy.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines that incorporate feedback from AI applications, while also monitoring adoption and performance metrics.
- Identify and address gaps in the document labeling process, implement effective strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to develop custom metadata attributes for our dedicated metadata tool.
- Work in close association with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into specific data engineering tasks.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Proven experience with Gen AI/ML implementation and hands-on technical delivery in an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in exploratory data analysis using Python, SQL & Graph with experience in orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Strong skills in SQL and Python, LLM for advanced data analysis to develop custom metadata attributes.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Practical experience in implementing AI projects, specifically in prompt engineering & RAG.
- Familiarity with various knowledge management tools.
- A desire and the ability to build 0-1 products from the ground up.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the willingness to take on challenges in the AI space.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 106,700 to 159,550 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
