Position Description
CVS Health offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Analyst, Business & Project Analyst within the Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Automation group. You will develop an understanding of financial and operational data and processes across several areas of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Finance in order to deliver critical data and insights to these teams. This role will be part of an energetic team that will provide support and best practices but will also expect your judgement to determine the best path forward for each project.
As a Business and Project Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex business needs into actionable insights and project requirements, working closely with business SMEs, technical and analytical teams. This position is instrumental in ensuring that project requirements are well-defined and technical specifications are accurately documented before the development team members commence their work. You will also drive the project through delivery - managing timelines, ensuring necessary stakeholder involvement, partnering with development teams, and following the established project management structure and checklist.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business needs, conducting thorough analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. You’ll be tasked with researching and documenting processes and connecting the dots between business and technical worlds to enable automation development at scale. Create detailed documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, process/data flows, and user stories.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, BI development, and Automation/ Analytics team members to define requirements and ensure a seamless integration of processes with business workflows. Engage proactively with stakeholders to align business objectives with proposed solutions. Play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.
- Project Management: Coordinate people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce desired results. Develop the Business Requirement Document which includes a project's scope and objective, and a detailed project plan. Lead stakeholders and internal resources through project milestones through to a successful product delivery. Anticipate and mitigate risks to the project’s success or on time completion.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends relevant to business analysis. Actively contribute ideas and insights to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related field.
- Must be experienced in communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- 1+ years of project management experience, successfully managing projects that impact multiple teams, departments and/or functions.
- 1+ years of experience documenting complex business process flows for optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with basic SQL and relational databases.
- Experience in healthcare industry, including health insurance, PBM or pharmacy services.
- Prior experience working in agile environment and with Agile Project Management tools (Atlassian/Jira/Confluence or like).
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new business processes and experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Thinking and Six Sigma.
- Experience with project management tools such as QuickBase, Smartsheet, Jira.
- Experience with data visualization technologies such as Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI.
- Ability to work efficiently under potentially ambiguous circumstances.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required

The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
