The Opportunity:

Join us as a Staff Software Engineer - DevOps on our WatchTower Platform teams. This cutting-edge platform revolutionizes mainframe observability by integrating operational tools, workflows, and data through AI and machine learning, simplifying problem identification and remediation. As part of our dynamic team, you'll play a key role as a Dev-Ops Engineer, streamlining the software development lifecycle, managing infrastructure, and ensuring robust, scalable, and secure deployments.

What You’ll Do:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

  • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and manage Jenkins jobs, Kubernetes clusters, and containerized applications using Helm charts.

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement and manage monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (e.g., ELK stack). Troubleshoot and resolve issues across mainframe, distributed, and cloud environments.

  • Scripting and Automation: Develop scripts in Bash, Python, or Groovy to automate tasks, integrate systems and automate API and Performance tests

  • Collaboration: Work with/in development, QA, and operations teams to deliver solutions that align with project goals.

  • Agile Practices: Practice Agile and DevOps culture, joining daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

  • Security and Compliance: Ensure security best practices and compliance measures are followed in CI/CD pipelines, container images, and Kubernetes configurations.

What You Need:

  • Technical Expertise: Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, and Groovy. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.

  • Experience: 8+ years in software development with a strong background in DevOps and IT operations.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube, Coverity), security certificate management, and Agile development practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

  • Having experience with Zowe, IBM z/OS and Subsystems, and Security configurations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $107,000 - $171,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
