Job Description
Within the Vehicle Motion Division we design and develop state-of-the art safety and motion solutions for passenger cars, light trucks, and up to medium heavy truck. Vehicle Motion provides solutions for mobility through steering, braking, occupant safety, and vehicle dynamic sensors. Vehicle Motion is also a leader in the software and services that will support the future of Software Defined Vehicles.
The Project Manager-Steering/ EPS is responsible for leading with a personal sense of ownership the cross-functional project / program teams to achieve deliverables according to the agreed customer requirements:
Requirements:
- Manage complex projects and tasks by developing program timelines and activity reports to drive the on-time completion of critical tasks.
- Managing open issues to closure (including quality, cost, timing, profit, customer satisfaction, etc.) by identifying, prioritizing, communicating and executing aligned solutions.
- Lead the efforts and activities between the customer and Bosch cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution from cross functional team and escalate issues as necessary
- Responsible for organizing, leading and tracking activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering changes utilizing the Bosch change process to ensure customer milestones are met. Hold the team accountable to achieve project deliverables.
- Support change management with the customer: evaluation of customer change requests including product design change, tooling change, and process change for risk, cost, and timing implications.
- Manage internal communication of project status (e.g. Steering Committee meeting, Project Health Check meeting, Open Points List publication, Customer Projects Review), as required.
- Review specifications, drawings, requirements, etc. to develop and prepare impact analysis against initial project premises & coordinate change points with applicable stakeholders. Responsible for creating internal sample orders for products & services.
- Manage / communicate internally customer program data for forecast / planning activities.
- Manages data in customer portals and project folders.
- Excited to take on a role with high visibility and exposure to all levels of internal and external management, that can lead to growth opportunities inside of Bosch.
Travel:
- Up to 10% including international travel.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business
- 3+ years relevant project experience/ customer interface
Preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience working with or at GM
- Knowledge of and/or proficiency with project management processes and tools (team structure, schedule formats, progress reports, financial reports, presentations, forecasting & tracking tools)
- Combination of technical knowledge with mechatronics and commercial skills
- Experience working on and integrating into project teams
