• Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

Process Overview*

• Banking and Lending product Technology team is responsible for all Retail and Preferred products catering to Retail and Preferred customers clients. The products include Credit Cards for Retail as well as Small Business customers, Deposits, Consumer Lending and Client Underwriting (including Vehicle Loans and Home Loans).
• This team performs application development, testing (functional and automation), design/architecture and business analysis functions to deliver the technology solutions through robust and scalable application platforms developed on various technologies such as WebMethods, Mulesoft, Java/J2EE, Angular, Mainframe and DB2.
• Shared Integration and Data services team provides middleware services, batch integration services and letter composition services for credit card and deposit applications.

Job Description*

Primarily responsible for design and development of Solutions for ongoing initiatives as a part of Scrum Team, work closely with Scrum Master and Product Owner to understand the use cases and stories, implement the code, test it and support the implementation to Production. Actively participate in all the scrum routines and discussions. Responsible for bringing the subject matter expertise to identify the initiative/change impact and interface with other dependent teams or applications to implement the solutions to production.

Strong experience (Technical) in COBOL, JCL, CICS, CA7, mainframe development. Experience with Java on Mainframe/ Mainframe modernization. Experience with databases like DB2 Experience with job automation & scheduling software (e.g.: CA7) Strong ability to write DFSORT, SQL queries etc. Must have excellent software design and documentation skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment. Must have excellent organization skills. Ability to debug applications. Experience with the development models and software development lifecycle (SDLC) model. Able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business units and senior leadership. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.

Foundational Skills*

• Strong DB2 knowledge, Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS) and JAVA knowledge.
• Experience in DB2, Mainframe, Experience with Java on Mainframe/ Mainframe modernization.
• Experience working with Agile methodology, JIRA, and Scrum Teams including story writing and grooming, defining user acceptance criteria, and ability to deliver work in 2 weeks sprints.
• Experience with CI/CD and Horizon platform.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and SDM model for CI/CD processes and associated tools.
• Experience with Implementation and release management activities.
• Good understanding of unit/system and functional testing methodology.
• Experience working in large transaction-based systems.
• Experience writing technical designs.
• Experience documenting technical functions.

Desired Skills*
