Software Engineer, 2026 Graduate Australia & New Zealand
Atlassian
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
From day one, you will be a valued part of our development team, trusted to make changes to code that directly impact our products, while gaining deep technical knowledge in full lifecycle product development. You will report to Senior Engineers on your team and dream up and code new features that can be shipped straight into our products.
This role is suitable for graduates looking to work on front-end, back-end, full-stack, and mobile development.
We will look to align you to the best team fit before your start date.
This program is open to students who will complete their degree studies by December 2025 or who have completed their Bachelor's or Master’s degree studies in the previous two years.
Applications will be accepted from Australian and New Zealand Citizens, Permanent Residents, and those holding the appropriate student visas, which allow them full working rights in Australia after graduation.
Your future team
To become a 100-year company, we need a world-class engineering organisation made up of empowered teams who have the tools and infrastructure to do the best work of their careers.
As part of a unified R&D team, Engineering is prioritising key initiatives which support our customers in moving to cloud while simultaneously continuing to bring the most value to our customers through investments across our core product suite – including Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket.
We're looking for people who want to write the future and who believe that we can accomplish so much more together.
On the first day, we'll expect you to have:
Experience with JavaScript, Python, C, C++, or other related object-oriented programming languages
A real passion for collaborating with colleagues to build technical solutions to hard problems
Deep understanding of data structures, in particular how they are implemented and how to apply them to tackle problems
It's great but not required if you have:
Technical experience from previous internships, projects or publications
