• Be highly technical and hands on, set the direction of multiple streams of work and systems within the group and deliver outcomes.

• Lead the delivery of transformation and metrics data platform by ensuring that the team ships well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code.

• Ensure solutions are being delivered incrementally, meeting their outcomes and promptly escalating risks and issues.

• Have a deep understanding of how things work in the data platform domain and use this to solve complex problems across the group.

• Be responsible for the operational quality for the capabilities within your group, e.g. documentation, security, reliability, performance

• Influence others within the department, leading to positive impact.

• Drive complex decisions that can impact the work of multiple teams.

• Partner across engineering teams to take on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects, identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies

• Mentor and level up the skills of your teammates by sharing your expertise through pair programming, tech design reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

• Experience building platform products

• Experience with cloud based technologies, preferably AWS

• Willingness to learn and be able to support the full engineering stack on a complex system

• Ability to think broadly about impact of technical or operational decisions

• Effectively mentor junior team members to help them unleash their full potential
