Working at Atlassian

Atlassian acquired Loom to lead in remote first, asynchronous work. With Loom's async video expertise and Atlassian's team collaboration understanding, we aim to innovate and empower customers for richer collaboration. Join us on our mission to make the impossible possible.

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Your future team

The Outreach team in the Loom organization is a product-led growth team focused on targeting users at the earliest part of their journey and expressing the value of Loom. We seek a motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

You will report into Senior Engineering Manager of this team and collaborate with products, design and data teams to enhance the user experience across our first touchpoints, from our marketing site to our onboarding flow. You will help create beautiful and seamless experiences that captivate users during their initial interactions with Loom.

What You’ll Do

  • Build quick, iterative experiments across the stack to develop features for our signup flows to improve conversion rates, user engagement, and retention.

  • Lead complex projects autonomously, from technical design to launch.

  • Lead code reviews and documentation, and take on complex bug fixes, especially on high-risk problems.

  • Collaborate with product, design, data, and marketing to build features supporting the product and content strategy.

  • Onboard and mentor junior engineers.

Your Background

  • 6+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer leading medium to large-scale projects.

  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

  • Enthusiasm for high-quality code that is documented and well-tested.

  • Experience working with experimentation platforms.

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
