Description
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with schematic, PCB physical design using Cadence Concept and Allegro or similar CAD tools
- Lab skills: oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers, electronic loads, etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience. High-volume consumer electronics system experience preferred.
- Experience leading technically complex projects that are dynamic and business critical
- Design experience in digital logic, simulation, power conversion and delivery
- Familiarity with RF/wireless concepts
- Experience with high-speed serial and memory interfaces including signal integrity design and measurement fundamentals, Command line interface and scripting skills
- Specific expertise in several of the following areas is a plus: CPU or GPU microarchitecture, batteries, power management, analog design, audio, wireless, DisplayPort, PCIe, Thunderbolt, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, analog sensors, interconnect
- Knowledge of clocking technology: crystals, oscillators, and simple PLLs. Knowledge of discrete passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors) and their characteristics and specifications.
- Ability to debug problems from the system-level down to the component level. Statistical data analysis and visualization (ex. JMP) is a plus
