THE ROLE:
The Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing (DCGPU) organization is excited to hire a highly skilled individual that can provide leadership for building up successful GPU platform with key partners/customers. We are seeking a Product Application Engineering Manager to join our team that will lead team and thrive in a fast-paced work environment, using effective communication, problem-solving and prioritization skills. Lead and manage team to resolve customer issues. Individuals that are well organized, show great attention to detail, and employ critical thinking are well-suited for our team.
THE PERSON:
This AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) team is looking for a senior level person that can help guide the team, mentor upcoming developers, provide long range strategy, and is willing to jump in to help resolve issues quickly. You will be involved in all areas that impact the team including performance, automation, and development. The right candidate will be informed on the latest trends and become prepared to give consultative direction to senior management.
A highly motivated self-starter, good manage interaction with partners/customers. Person has to have experience in design and bringing up complex CPU/GPUs in a system. Have leadership skills in driving complex issues/problems and provide insight into not only designs but debug of complex system level problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve product
- Work with ODM/OEM/CM partners on server based solutions which better map to AMD DCGPU Computing solutions Develop technical and training presentation to customer, create Whitepapers on technology, products and solutions
- Provide design review and recommendation for partner/customer's platform using AMD DC GPU solution
- Provide leadership input/recommendations to design, validation & manufacturing test based on the SOC to platform design
- Lead working on the bring-up of a partner/customer's GPU subsystem for given systems or platforms
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of system or SOC level hardware design & debug and customer support experience.
- 5+ years management experience
- Exposure to systems architecture, Knowledgeable about the architecture of AMD CPUs and GPUs
- Bring-up of complex computer systems that reside in Data Centers (GPU). Strong system level debugging skill from HW, SW & Driver perspective
- Customer support experience. Experience in working directly with local ODM partner or key OEM/CSP customers and enabling them to production.
- Team player with passion and willing to do whatever it takes for business success with a keen sense of urgency and strong drive.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Significant experience in SoC and/or System bring-up, validation, verification and debug of complex issues
- Strong system design experience on CPU, GPU, HSIO, Memory and PWR, capable to provide schematics and board review for partners & customers
- Familiar with OCP OAM & dGPU system architecture and design is a plus
- Familiar with HSIO debug & strong Signal Integrity knowledge is a plus
- Be the go-to person for debugging of issues for a given system/platform/subsystem
- Collaborate with partners/customers on systems design, bring-up & validation phases
- Hands-on experience in using AMD tool, industry debug tools, scopes, etc.
- Leadership and Communication skills are mandatory as individual will be in top level customer relation technical discussions
- Able to work as a team and work efficiently in a dynamic environment and on multiple projects
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
