DESCRIPTION

Would you like to join the team that protects the global AWS platform from fraud? Are you looking to solve exciting fraud challenges in the cloud? Do you want to work on a Cloud business that is growing multiple fold annually? Do you enjoy thinking like a fraudster and using your technical skills to help detect & mitigate AWS accounts from causing damage on our platform? If so, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Fraud Prevention has an exciting opportunity for you.

AWS has the most services, and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider – from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases to emerging technologies, such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. AWS Platform is the glue that holds the AWS ecosystem together. Whether it’s Identity features such as access management and sign on, cryptography, console, builder & developer tools, and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems, AWS Platform is always innovating with the customer in mind. The AWS Platform team sustains over 750 million transactions per second. Each day, hundreds of thousands of customers make billions of transactions worldwide on our cloud. They are harnessing the power of AWS to enable innovative applications, websites, and businesses. However, there are always a few people that try to take unfair advantage of a good thing.

The mission of the AWS Fraud Prevention Team is to keep the AWS platform a safe and trusted place for our customers and partners. We achieve this goal by identifying and preventing fraud for all AWS services, worldwide. Every day fraudsters attempt to steal our services. We use extensive data and machine learning models to build software solutions to detect and prevent such activities.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and who has a consistent track record of delivery. You must be proactive in removing roadblocks, always looking for ways to innovate and operate more efficiently, and able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will need to influence internal and external stakeholders that are spread across the world, and be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives.

As the Program Manager your responsibilities will include:

* Manage complex and multi-faceted programs and drive projects through completion
* Work closely with Data Analysts and Scientists to identify and mitigate new fraud trends
* Lead engagements with service teams across AWS to integrate them with fraud prevention workflows
* Assist in developing the strategy of the fraud response team and drive its execution
* Triage inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and partner with the team to deliver results
* Develop measurable benchmarks and reporting to evaluate team direction and progress

About the team
This team within the AWS Fraud Prevention organization is responsible for detecting & mitigating AWS account risks. You will be part of a team of Data Scientists, Investigations Analysts, and Technical & non-Technical Program Managers. Instead, we are happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

We have a formal mentor search application that lets you find a mentor that works best for you. Your manager can also help you find a mentor or two, because two is better than one. In addition to formal mentors, we work and train together so that we are always learning from one another, and we celebrate and support the career progression of our team members.
