The Amazon Search team creates powerful, customer-focused search and advertising solutions and technologies. Whenever a customer visits an Amazon site worldwide and types in a query or browses through product categories, our services go to work. We design, develop, and deploy high performance, fault-tolerant distributed search systems used by millions of Amazon customers every day.

Our team is responsible for running large programs for Amazon Search including Rufus.

In this role, you (as a Principal TPM) will be leading a flagship S-team goal for Amazon Search to enable Off-Amazon Selection on Amazon (https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/retail/search-products-amazon-shopping-feature). You will partner with Product/North America Stores/ASCS and IOP teams to deliver a program end to end. for each workstream, stakeholders to define the product vision and roadmap in a data-driven and working backward (from customer) approach. Where applicable, you will also work with PEs and Senior PEs (architects) on a day-to-day basis to draw technical design/approach documents. And finally, you will work with engineering teams across the globe to own the actual product execution cycle (develop, test, and launch). Along the way, you (as the program leader) will be responsible for defining how the product roadmap is delivered (delivering value in incremental phases, or in one go), bring teams across organizations together, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and when necessary make trade-offs by balancing the business needs versus technical constraints.

To fulfil this role, you will need to possess strong program management skills and be comfortable to operate at scale, and will have experience in leading large cross-functional and cross-organizational programs. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and ability to remain calm are essential to succeed in this role. You will be joining a select group of people making history by building products that will be used by millions of customers across the globe.
