DESCRIPTION

The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon. As the Sr Financial Analyst within FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in partnering regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the Amazon Physical Stores, Retail Grocery, Whole Foods Market, and WW Operations organization, often at some with the most senior levels within the company.


Key job responsibilities
- Work closely with Lead data modeler on the team to take full ownership of existing planning and reporting models
- Own/run existing reporting and planning models at a set cadence; monthly, quarterly, per reporting and planning cycles
- Drive automation and scale of financial reporting. Simplify process for internal stakeholders (e.g., finance peers and business partners).
- Drive finance communication with partner teams on product performance and financial impact, including identification of risks and opportunities.
- Provide insights and clarity on team opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with product management, finance and engineering teams to understand initiatives and influence automation projects.
- Partner with business teams and Finance stakeholders to help develop short- and long-term reporting, models and forecasts.
- Lead key analytical projects that influence senior leadership decision making.
- Compile financial results and operational plans including reporting for MFR, QBR, and OP1/OP2.
- Invent, simplify, and automate management reporting

A day in the life
We are looking for a SFA with strong modeling skills and financial acumen. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is passionate about the customer experience, who thinks/acts globally, and who will contribute with strategic and impactful reporting. They will need to be a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills. They will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis, as well as working with stakeholders across the org to operationalize and scale new and existing planning and reporting processes and tools.
