UX Designer III, Global Procurement and Payroll Products
Amazon
DESCRIPTION
Join Amazon's Global Procurement and Payroll Products team as a Sr. UX Designer and help create products that directly impact over 1.5M Amazonians.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sr. UX Designer to play a vital role in shaping end-to-end experiences across procurement and payroll products. In this role, you will lead UX design from research and discovery to high-fidelity designs and release. You will work closely with product managers to craft the vision and set product direction, while collaborating with engineers and subject matter experts to turn that vision into reality.
To be successful, you must be a strategic thinker with strong design skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to communicate your ideas effectively to peers, stakeholders, and executives.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end UX design products, from research to high-fidelity designs and release.
• Support user research and usability testing to understand the needs of customers.
• Create intuitive mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes that optimize workflows for complex business tools.
• Collaborate with product managers to craft product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineers, and subject matter experts to implement design solutions.
• Develop and maintain design systems and UI patterns for consistency across products.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Analyze user feedback and metrics to continuously improve user experience and drive adoption.
• Present design concepts and rationales to executives and stakeholders.
• Stay current with UX trends and apply relevant innovations to Amazon's internal tools.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing requirements while maintaining high-quality standards.
A day in the life
Starting with a team stand-up to discuss ongoing projects and priorities, they'll then dive into user research analysis, synthesizing findings from recent interviews with procurement specialists. Midday could include a collaborative workshop with product managers and engineers to ideate solutions for a payroll system pain point. Afternoon tasks might involve refining high-fidelity mockups for an upcoming feature and presenting these designs to stakeholders for feedback. The day might conclude with reviewing their work on a related project, and planning the next day's usability testing session for a new procurement tool interface.
