Supply Chain by Amazon is a vision to provide sellers an a-la-carte or end-to-end, fully automated set of supply chain services that provides a complete solution to quickly and reliably move products directly from manufacturers to customers around the world. It leverages Amazon’s advanced technology and supply chain capabilities to optimize end-to-end logistics, fulfillment, and transportation on behalf of sellers, simplifying the supply chain journey, while improving in-stock rates, reliability, speed, and cost. SCA will pick up inventory from manufacturing facilities around the world, ship it across borders, handle customs clearance and ground transportation, store inventory in bulk, manage replenishment across Amazon and other sales channels, and deliver directly to customers. We are in the early days of creating the SCA vision of the future and are looking for bold vision, highly strategic leaders to shape the future of this business.
SCA is looking for a bright and motivated Technical Program Manager who has experience in managing multiple programs in a global environment across multiple technology platforms. The candidate will be responsible for managing cross-organization programs/projects.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mix of ground tactical leadership alongside big picture technical and product vision. They will lead project team often comprised of engineers, product managers, and applied scientists. They develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects/programs, provide regular and succinct status updates to leadership.
Cross-functional technical expertise is required for this position as the candidate will be required to work with tenants and upstream and downstream dependencies of Fees teams. The candidate must independently lead projects and deliver expert level solutions based on thorough analysis of business requirements, and work collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities for process improvements. The candidate should be capable of assessing the right balance of risk to allocate the right resources, remove bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead planning, and execution of complex large scale technical program involving highly distributed, large scale services.
- Play a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements. Help form long-term technical and business strategy and goals.
- Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, scientist to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Be a hands-on technical leader and contributor.
- Maintain a current understanding of industry and technology trends.
- Work with globally distributed team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing Business fees models and accounting implementations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
