The Site Procurement Operations Center (SPOC) is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to drive key initiatives across our global organization. This role will dive deep to uncover key opportunities to improve Key Performance Indicators across our business while improving cost efficiencies. You will work cross functionally across Global Procurement Operations (GPO) pillars including Category, Supplier Management, and Site Procurement while partnering with operations and suppliers to balance risk and efficiency in our global supply chain. This role will be required to invent and simplify and continually rethink how we forecast, plan, manage inventory and execute our supply chain processes.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead projects focused on driving KPIs within the GPO and SPOC organizations
- Oversee the adoption and improvement of standard work
- Implement measurement controls (metrics and reports) for supply initiatives
- Work with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
- Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the growth and scalability of the business
- Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
A day in the life
The Sr Program Mgr(Forecasting) will lead Global Forecasting/Demand Planning program for site procurement operations center. Responsibilities include forecast accuracy improvement, automation, supporting consumables transitions and on-package marketing ads. team. Working closely with category team, SPOC execution, Delphi Programs, GPT, CPEX and field procurement and operations teams
About the team
The SPOC team is a global team responsible for ordering, forecasting, and demand planning for non-inventory goods and services. We prioritize our operations customers while developing strong relationships with suppliers, and key stakeholders across the Global Procurement Organization and other Amazon businesses. Our team centralizes non-inventory processes in order to drive standardization, cost reduction, and efficiencies, and operates on a 24/7 basis to provide consistent support to stakeholders. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
