Are you interested in AI technologies and contribute to its success by creating high quality and effective data collection strategies and operational plans? AWS Bedrock Human Data Services Team is looking for a strong Data Annotation Program Manager who can lead an internal off-shore team to collect and deliver high quality data sets for our highly sophisticated AI programs.

As a Data Annotation Program Manager on the team, you will work with multiple teams on the data collection and annotation requirements, and facilitate the execution through our large in-house off-shore annotation team. You will be responsible for the deliveries from this large scale annotation team directly influencing the overall operations end-to-end from work intake to delivery.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

· have strong experience in operational risk assessment, management, and mitigation


A day in the life
As a Data Annotation Program Manager, you will interact with our US-based Science and Data team on data objectives and participate in the operational planning to achieve these objectives with resources based in India. You will work as the liaison between the US and India Program Management team who is your counterpart in the execution. You will track, manage, and assess risks for all of the data annotation work streams with other program managers to ensure the successful delivery of the data within realistic timeline and quality expectations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- BS degree in Linguistic, Data, or Business Operations/Management related fields (E.g. Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Data Engineering, Data Science, etc...)
- 2+ years experience with data annotation, evaluation, curation, and generation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to various levels of management, technical and non-technical audiences, and cross team stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of generative AI principles
- Experience with people management and lead through influence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- MS degree in Linguistic, Data, or Business Operations/Management related fields (E.g. Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Data Engineering, Data Science, etc...)
- Experience with multi-modal data specification and requirements, data annotation and natural language processing
- Experience with managing a large scale data annotation workforce
- Experience with operational logistics such as resource forecasting, workflow management, capacity planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
