As Senior Project Manager, you'll support our Finance Operations - Quote to Cash organization and lead teams modernizing the end-to-end processes on our next-gen platforms. You’ll be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of various projects to ensure business goals and objectives are accomplished within designated timeframes and budgets. Whether it's coaching, cutting meetings short, or auditing the process - you'll do whatever it takes to keep projects moving.

No two days are the same. Although your primary stakeholders will be Finance leadership globally, you will work across functions and with development teams to drive success in our project plans. Our days are fast-moving and unpredictable, and people skills are necessary for every aspect of this job.

To thrive in this role, you must have prior project management experience working cross-functionally across global teams. Additionally, you have experience managing highly complex projects at an enterprise level. You must have experience working with development teams and understand agile and waterfall methodologies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Lead all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure
  • Direct day-to-day activities of projects and staff in matrixed organization
  • Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project vehicles and coordination of resources
  • Work collaboratively with other departments impacting the project
  • Lead communication with stakeholders and team members through completion of the project
  • Direct project timeliness and budgets
  • Assess, manage, resolve, and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
  • Employ highly developed consultative skills
  • Tailor processes to meet the needs of individual projects
  • Make decisions based on information and input in a timely manner
  • Provide analysis of project, including business case, ROI, and post-project review
  • Drive innovation, best practices, and achievement of strategic objectives
  • Work on projects of high complexity.

Experience. You have 5+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Enterprise-level experience managing medium to large cross-functional and/or multi-year projects.
  • Experience working with development teams, including an understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience leading multiple technical projects to successful outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, storytelling, and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Strong team leadership and ability to delegate responsibility to all levels of the project team, be direct, and hold the team accountable for deliverables.
  • Ability to manage across formal organizational lines
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple functions/organizations to identify and negotiate required resources
  • Strong focus on client service
  • Collaborative approach to work
  • Experience with project management tools and structured or hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.

For additional comfortability in the role:

  • PMP, CAPM or equivalent professional project management certification
  • Agile or Lean Six Sigma certifications (PMI-ACP, LSSGB)
  • Advanced knowledge of functional areas and related company products
  • Experience with Smartsheet as a project management tool
